Making a book

It's a long time ago when I started to write a book. At first I thought to write whole thing with ink and "quill", but then I realize that I will be old grandma before I get it ready. When I first started, my idea was to do just short text and now I have 90 page of text in my computer. If I would have written it with ink and handwriting I could have 400 A4 paper in it.

I started writing 12.12.2012 which was my birthday and as you can see I didn't have hurry. But now a book is almost ready and I am already making the covers.

I started covers choosing wood boards.

Then I measure, saw and sand. After that I thought how I will do a lock. The lock is part of the story and first I made a key.




Key's top is a little bit like heart. It kind of doesn't even look like a key.



And then I started with a lock which I made from wood too. In the picture next to this text you can see how it works.

Then I combine all parts. Box has a bottom what you can move away and you have another bottom with the secret door in side of it.

Then I need to just paint but that will be at my next blog text. ^.^
